Salvation and what the bible says is very simple. Then man gets involved, it gets so complicated and confusing I believe most people turn there back and walk away. Let us go to the Bible for a simple answer we can understand. Take your bible and turn to the Gospel of John chapter 3 verses 15 thru 18. Here Jesus teaches us about salvation and how to receive it.
SALVATION AND WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS
VERSE 15: ” That whoever BELIEVES in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
VERSE 16: For GOD so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVES in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Verse 17: For GOD did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be SAVED.
VERSE 18: He who BELIEVES in Him is NOT condemned, but he who does not BELIEVE is condemned already because he has not BELIEVED in the name of the only begotten SON.”
Salvation comes from BELIEVING in Jesus Christ and only thru him. (CHRIST means: our savior or messiah) The pathway to salvation leads us to another aspect of salvation, that is repentance of our sins. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 ” For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD.” The keyword in this verse is “all”. You are not the only person to have sinned. No sin is greater or lesser than any other sin. For this is why Jesus left heaven and was born of the virgin Mary. Jesus the Son of GOD became a mortal man! Think for a minute Why would Jesus leave Heaven. HE lives in Heaven, never to want anything, He has it already, no sickness, no pain or suffering, He lives in heaven. Why would you leave?
SALVATION, WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
Remember JOHN 3:16 ‘For GOD so loved the world”. It is because of “LOVE”. GOD the Father and his Son LOVED us so much, Jesus was willing to leave heaven, become a man, to suffer and die on the cross for our sins
The Bible teaches that only through the shedding of blood can our sins be washed away. Never to be remembered by GOD again!!!!
In the Old Testament times ( this was before Christ came to earth) this was done through animal sacrifices. When Jesus came to earth, He went to the cross to pay our sin debt of the world. By sacrificing his life and shedding his blood for our sins. This sacrifice was the greatest thing to ever happen in all the universe. Jesus came and paid our sin debt in full. Why would he do this? Because of” LOVE” !!!!! Jesus loved us with a love so great it is beyond our understanding. At the cross, Jesus died for all sin, past, present, and future. When Jesus died on the cross, we had not been born yet, our sins had not been committed yet. Now that is a “LOVE ” that surpasses all our understanding.
SO, WHAT HAS THE BIBLE TAUGHT US ABOUT SALVATION?

GOD IS LOVE! HE LOVES us with a LOVE so great it is beyond our understanding

YOU MUST BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST

WE MUST ACCEPT HIM AS OUR SAVIOR, FOR WHAT HE DONE FOR US ON THE CROSS.

WE HAVE ALL SINNED, YOU ARE NOT THE EXCEPTION!

YOU NEED TO REPENT AND CONFESS OUR SINS TO JESUS CHRIST,( HE is waiting eagerly to forgive you)

WHO IS GOD
Everyone has asked this question sometime in their life. The answer is found in the bible. The Bible is His instruction manual, the how-to on life! So let us look into the Bible for the answer to this question.
WHERE DID HE COME FROM?
HE is the creator, LORD, and master of all. HE always was. HE was before the beginning. HE created the beginning. (Genesis 1;1 ) It says ” in the beginning God.” HE was before, during, and after the beginning. God eternal! We live in time, we have a beginning and an end. HE does not live in time. He lives in eternity. No beginning or end. He never changes, He is always the same. We may not understand what HE is doing. HE loves us with a love that is beyond our understanding. ( Isaiah 55:8) It says” for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways.” We may not understand who God is, and why things are happening this way. Remember HE is pure love, He loves you. You can always trust GOD. Put your trust in Him. You will never regret it.
HOW CAN WE FIND THE ANSWER
The Bible is God’s instruction manual. To find the answer to your questions you must read the bible. Get a daily bible reading schedule, these will let you read through the bible in a year. I know that sounds like a lot of reading, but it takes around 15 to 20 minutes a day. The bible says in Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened” this was Jesus speaking, telling us to Ask, Seek and Knock. Have you ASKED Him? The Bible is HIS words to us. Read it to find the answers!
He does not speak to us directly as in old testament times. He gave us the bible, this is where you will hear him speaking to you. The wisdom you will find in the Bible at times is astounding. Seek him you will find him!
I believe Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life. He is my Lord and savior. This is the very core of my faith. Jesus told his disciples in John 14:6 ” I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except thru me”.
I will explain my faith through these four topics. The Way, the Truth, the Life, and No Exceptions
I AM THE WAY
I believe in the holy trinity, father, son and the holy spirit. God the Father has a plan of salvation for the world. That JESUS is the way to salvation, the only way! NO EXCEPTION! Jesus came to this earth in obedience to the father to implement this plan of salvation. Jesus made this pathway of salvation through the cross at Calvary. He took the sin of the world upon himself, past, present, and future. He went to the cross as a sacrificial lamb, that day Jesus paid our sin debt with his life. Jesus is the way, THE ONLY WAY!
I AM THE TRUTH
What is the truth? Truth to me is the holy bible. I believe it is God’s inspired Word to us. It is a GODS instruction manual on how we should live our lives. I believe you should be involved in a daily bible reading and study. In John 18:37 Jesus said: everyone who is of the truth hears my voice. Jesus speaks the truth to us today through the bible. Without daily bible reading and study, you cannot hear what GOD has to say to you.
I AM THE LIFE
I believe what Jesus said in John 5:24 “I say to you he who hears my words and believes in him who sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. ” I heard it said, Jesus would rather die on the cross than spend eternity without us.
I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE
No one comes to the Father except thru me! The way to GOD THE FATHER is through Jesus and Jesus alone. I believe Jesus is the way ( the only way), the truth( the only truth), and the life ( the only true way to eternal life) absolutely no exceptions!
CLOSING STATEMENT
Our life is a personal gift from GOD to us. Cherish it always. We need to take care of our earthly life as we borrowed it from GOD. Live every day for GOD. WE will have to return our life to GOD someday and answer for what we have done with it!
I am willing to follow and serve him wherever he leads me, with no exceptions or limitations!!!! Are you?
